604 area code
Vancouver and the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.
604 is the established Lower Mainland code, including Vancouver. British Columbia's overlay arrangement also includes 236, 257, 672 and 778. Those overlay codes can cover a wider geography than 604, so an overlay number alone is not evidence that the caller is in Vancouver.

Questions about 604
Does every British Columbia number use 604?
No. 604 is associated with the Lower Mainland, while other parts of the province have different original codes and share provincial overlays. Confirm the town or service address when planning a visit.
Is a 604 call safe to answer?
The 604 prefix identifies a numbering region, not a caller's identity or trustworthiness. Verify an unexpected request by contacting the organization through a number you already know.
Can I get a 604 business number?
Search the available numbers in VeraDial. Inventory changes, so a 604 number is not guaranteed. You can also keep your current carrier number and forward voice calls to a VeraDial line; existing texts stay with your carrier.
