Keep Your Existing Business Number and Route Calls to Vera
You do not need to port your existing number to use VeraDial. First confirm that your VeraDial number works directly, then use the guided forwarding setup to route calls from the number your customers already know.

1. Test the VeraDial number first
Call the VeraDial number from another phone and confirm that Vera answers as the right business. If a caller should be connected to you, also confirm that Ring on this phone is enabled on the device that should receive the call.
2. Open the forwarding setup
In VeraDial, open Forward Existing Number and enter the business number you want customers to keep calling. The guided setup identifies the carrier and shows the appropriate forwarding flow.
- Use the carrier instructions exactly as shown in the app.
- Choose all-call or missed-call forwarding according to when Vera should answer.
- Forward to the VeraDial number shown for the line you tested.
3. Complete the connection test
Return to VeraDial and run the forwarding test. Call the existing business number from another phone and confirm that Vera answers. If the test fails, cancel the forwarding rule before trying a different carrier code or routing mode.
FAQ
Does this transfer ownership of my number?
No. The number stays with your current carrier. Call forwarding changes where incoming calls are sent; it is not a number port.
Can I still display my existing number on outbound calls?
You can separately verify an eligible number as an outbound caller ID under Numbers. That is different from forwarding incoming calls and does not make the number a VeraDial SMS line.
