Spam and Scam Call Protection for Your Business Line

VeraDial gives you four tools for unwanted and important calls. Block any caller or texter. Send toll-free callers to voicemail. Calls where the caller plays a known recorded scam or sales pitch are filed quietly, with no alert, and stay in History. Trusted callers (up to 50 per line) skip Vera and ring you directly. The scam filter recognises known recordings, not all spam.

Block a caller or texter

A blocked number cannot ring you or reach Vera, and its texts are dropped without a notification. Blocking is available on every plan.

  • In the app: open a call and choose Block this caller, or go to Settings → Spam Filters.
  • On the web: Assistant → Call settings → Unwanted callers.
  • A blocked number can still text STOP to opt out of your messages.

Send toll-free callers to voicemail

Many sales and robocalls come from toll-free numbers. Turn on the toll-free option and those callers go straight to voicemail instead of ringing you or reaching Vera. It is not a silent block, so a real toll-free caller can still leave a message.

Known scam recordings are filed quietly

When Vera answers and the caller plays a recognised recorded pitch, such as a Google-listing "verification", business-loan or debt-relief script, the call is filed in History with no push alert, no Needs you item and no activity email. This needs Vera answering the line.

  • Nothing is deleted. Filed calls appear in History and under archived items, and you can restore one.
  • It recognises known scripts, not every unwanted caller. A live telemarketer is handled like any other caller.
  • Occasionally a missed-call alert can arrive before a call is recognised.

Trusted callers ring straight through

Add up to 50 numbers per line, such as family, key customers or suppliers, and their calls skip Vera and ring you directly. If you don't answer, they reach your VeraDial voicemail.

  • Set them on the web: Numbers → choose a line → Trusted callers.
  • US and Canadian numbers only; a hidden or unknown caller ID never matches.
  • Trusted calls ring the VeraDial app, so keep it installed with notifications on.

FAQ

Will blocking a number stop it from calling my personal phone?

No. VeraDial blocks calls to your VeraDial number. If you forward an existing number to VeraDial, blocking applies to calls that arrive through the forward.

Does VeraDial block every spam call?

No tool can promise that. The blocklist and toll-free option stop numbers you choose, and the scam filter recognises known recordings. Other unwanted callers are answered by Vera like anyone else, so you get a summary instead of an interruption.

Why is my own number showing as spam to the people I call?

That is a different problem: how carriers label your outgoing calls. See the guide on why a business number shows as Spam Likely.
