Fix a Phone That Does Not Ring After Vera Answers
When Vera answers successfully but you never receive the connected call, the first thing to check is the device-specific Ring on this phone setting—not the business profile or phone number.

Turn on Ring on this phone
Open Vera → Manage Vera → When someone calls. Select the correct line and turn on Ring on this phone for the device that should receive connected calls.
- The setting is per device; enabling it on one phone does not register another phone.
- Allow the microphone and notification permissions VeraDial requests.
- If you have more than one line, verify the setting on the exact line being called.
Run a clean test
Use a different phone to call the VeraDial number. Tell Vera why you are calling and ask to be connected. Keep the VeraDial phone unlocked and online for the first test so you can see whether an incoming-call screen appears.
Check forwarding only after the direct test
If customers normally call another business number, first prove the VeraDial number rings directly. Then test the forwarded number. This separates a device-registration problem from a carrier-forwarding problem.

Can I test from the same phone that should receive the call?
No. Use another phone to place the test call so the VeraDial device remains available to receive Vera's connection attempt.
Will callers still reach voicemail if ringing is off?
They may. Vera can answer and screen the call, but a caller who asks to reach you can fall through to voicemail when no registered device is available to ring.
