Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Your VeraDial Account
VeraDial ships a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so the AI assistant you already use — Claude, ChatGPT, or any MCP-compatible client — can securely read your VeraDial account and answer questions about it in plain language. Ask "who called today and what did they want?" and your assistant checks your actual calls, screening summaries, and voicemails. Access is read-only and uses your existing VeraDial login.

What your assistant can see
Once connected, your assistant can read your account on your behalf — nothing more. It cannot place calls, send texts, or change any settings.
- Recent calls with AI screening summaries, and full transcripts where a call was recorded and transcribed.
- Voicemails with transcripts (audio recordings are never exposed).
- Text conversations on your VeraDial numbers.
- Contacts with AI summaries and suggested follow-ups.
- Your phone lines, receptionist setup, plan status, and remaining AI minutes.
Connect from Claude
Works on claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and Claude mobile.
- Open Claude's Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Enter the server URL: https://api.veradial.com/mcp
- Sign in with your VeraDial account when the browser window opens, review what the connector can read, and approve.
- In a chat, enable the VeraDial connector from the tools menu and ask something like "summarize my calls this week."
Connect from ChatGPT
ChatGPT custom connectors require a paid ChatGPT plan (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu) on the web, with Developer mode turned on.
- In ChatGPT settings, enable Developer mode (currently under Security and login).
- Add a new app/connector (chatgpt.com/plugins), choose remote MCP server, and enter https://api.veradial.com/mcp with OAuth authentication.
- Sign in with your VeraDial account and approve the consent screen.
- If the first attempt shows a connection error, retry once from the connector's page — then ask ChatGPT to list your VeraDial numbers to confirm it's live.
Connect from other MCP clients
Developer tools like Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Cursor can use the same server URL (https://api.veradial.com/mcp) over standard MCP OAuth. For security, clients other than hosted Claude and ChatGPT start in a pending state: you can sign in and grant consent, but the data tools stay locked until VeraDial approves the client registration.
- If your client connects but tool calls fail with an authorization error, the registration is likely pending.
- Email support@veradial.com with the client name shown on the consent screen and we'll approve it — then reconnect once.
Security and privacy
The connector uses OAuth 2.1 with your existing VeraDial login — there are no API keys to copy, and your password is never shared with the AI app. Every connection is scoped to your own account only.
- Read-only by design: the current tool set cannot place calls, send messages, spend your included minutes, or change settings.
- Your data flows only to the AI app you connected, only when you ask it something.
- Call and voicemail transcripts are included — that's the point of the connector. Audio recordings never leave VeraDial.
- Disconnect any time from your AI app's settings; access tokens expire automatically.
FAQ
Can my assistant make calls or send texts through this?
No. The connector is read-only today. Your assistant can tell you who called and what they wanted, but it cannot take actions on your account.
Does the connector cost extra?
No — it's included with your VeraDial account at no extra charge.
Which AI apps work with it?
Claude (claude.ai, Desktop, and mobile) and ChatGPT (web, on paid plans with Developer mode) connect self-serve. Any other MCP-compatible client — Claude Code, Codex CLI, Cursor, and similar — works too, after a quick one-time approval by VeraDial.
Are my transcripts really shared with the AI?
Only with the AI app you connected, under your own login, and only when you ask a question that needs them. VeraDial never exposes call or voicemail audio through the connector, and disconnecting the app cuts off access.
I connected but tool calls fail with an authorization error. What now?
For Claude and ChatGPT, retry the connection once from the app's connector settings. For other clients, the registration is probably awaiting VeraDial approval — email support@veradial.com with the client name from the consent screen.
